NOTES: Dangarfield Quarterback (P) has exceeded all our expectations here at Dangarfield. Never before has any sire ever made such an instant impact in our herd. The sheer volume and capacity along with the constitution of Quarterback (P) is just something you have to sit back and admire. Always in good condition even in dry seasons, a placid nature and poll genetics help make this great sire what he is. These are the traits he is also passing on in his progeny. In the last two years 27 sons have sold at our auction to average $11,740! A further 10 sons have been sold privately and three have been retained for in herd use. Some of his progenys achievements include Astud record top price of $37,500 for Dangarfield Torrent (PS) - Third top priced S.G. bull sold at auction in Australia in 2011. Junior and Grand Champion Santa Gertrudis Bull at Beef 2012 - Dangarfield Universe (P) also a Top 10 finisher in the Interbreed Championships, now working stud duties at Dangarfield. Quarterbacks daughters are also impressive, having a good nature, high fertility and great udders. Within 3 seasons of Dangarfield Quarterback (P) sons being marketed, 37 have sold at auction to average $11,554 and gross $427,500. A further 11 sons have been sold privately. Dangarfield Quarterback (P) also holds the title for being the sire of our stud’s 3 top priced bulls: Dangarfield Universe (PS) sold for $40,000 in 2013, Dangarfield Torrent (PS) made $37,500 in 2011 and $35,000 was paid for Dangarfield Twister (PS) also in 2011.

Two sons have been retained, one of them, Dangarfield Tornado, has a very impressive crop of weaners recently taken off their mothers and we have some high expectations for them. We have used another 2 sons in our AI program, Dangarfield Torrent (PS) and Dangarfield Typhoon (P).  They have both given us some top calves, proving that this bloodline breeds on well.
Semen of Dangarfield Quarterback (P) has been sold into 3 states of Australia, and exported to Paraguay, South Africa, Zambia and Namibia. The constitution of Dangarfield Quarterback (P) is something that has to be seen to be believed. He holds his condition all year round, so much so that if you saw him after his spell season you would think he had been fed grain!  This amazing constitution and doing ability off grass is a trait he passes on strongly, we are keen to get this trait through our herd as much as possible for our pasture finishing operation.
Our Dangarfield Quarterback (P) daughters are shaping up well as young mothers with good fertility and are turning off sappy weaners.
